Screen Visions, the Stuttgart-based LED specialist, was commissioned to provide, install and oversee all the visual equipment used at the European Track & Field Championships at Berlin’s Olympic Stadium — 550 m² of 10mm pixel-pitch displays and two LED screen boxes with a 26 m² area.

At the European Mile in Breitscheidplatz, a public square in the inner city of Berlin, the company also installed Unilumin’s UPAD III H5 LED modules in different sizes – 50 m², 40 m² and 16.5 m². These were used as a stage backdrop or to show live images from the stadium and the European Games in Glasgow, Scotland. The module is designed to be used in strong winds and poor weather conditions.

At the Marathon Gate, the only access point to the stadium interior, Screen Visions installed a a 4.9 mm outdoor LED video wall in the form of a goal frame and a 16:9 backdrop video wall behind, which could be opened on demand via motors, required to ensure access for rescue workers and facilitate the entry and exit of technical equipment.
