Omate announces the TrueSmart+: its newest standalone smartwatch 2.0 powered by Android 5.1 and Omate User Interface 3.0.
The TrueSmart+: Truly Smart. Truly Free.
After raising over a million USD on Kickstarter two years ago becoming the 5th most funded project of the design category in September 2013, Omate announces today its newest standalone Android smartwatch 2.0; the TrueSmart+.
The TrueSmart+ is the ultimate in freedom. Free from the weight of carrying your cellphone everywhere.
Enjoy calling, texting, emailing, and even playing your favorite games on your new standalone smartwatch.
“People are amazed by the advanced capabilities of the TrueSmart. Two years ago, we designed and led the true concept of a standalone smartwatch that can match the capabilities of your smartphone. Today, we are excited to announce the TrueSmart+; an upgraded version from design to engineering of the original TrueSmart. The TS+ gives you as many possibilities as a smartphone would.” says Laurent Le Pen, Founder & CEO at Omate.
Easy, simple, and customizable
The TrueSmart+ is a device interfaced for all types of users. The Ostore gives access to plenty of Android compatible apps (APK) that you can install and enjoy on the TrueSmart+.
Developers will enjoy the convenience of a full Android operating system.
With the Omate TrueSmart+, leave your phone at home!
With its Micro SIM card slot, the TrueSmart+ allows the user to connect to 3G, receive calls, messages, launch applications, manage your sport apps, browse the Internet and more.
The TrueSmart+ runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and Omate User Interface 3.0.
It is powered by a Dual-core 1Ghz ARM Cortex-A7 MediaTek MT6572M, and an ARM Mali-400 MP GPU.
It also features a capacitive touch panel on top of an upgraded 1.54” BOE display with a resolution of 320×320.
Low power always-on sensor hub
The TrueSmart+ integrates a low power Bosch BHI160 sensor hub. The BHI160 provides an ideal all-in-one-solution for always-on sensor applications such as fitness tracking and step counting at very low power consumption.
Its strengthened rubber straps integrate WiFi / 2G/3G and GPS antennas.
The Ocharger has also been upgraded to a magnetic cradle while its 600mAh Lithium Polymer battery will allow up to three days of standby time.
Limited Editions of the TrueSmart+ and its entry level sibling the TrueSmart-i will be exclusively available for pre-order from September 22nd to October 31st on www.omate.com
