OLEDWorks to Prototype Amber OLEDs

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) awarded a $500,000 grant to OLEDWorks last year (OLEDWorks Takes Lighting Grant), to develop bright amber OLED lighting panels. NYSERDA has now presented the company with a further $100,000 to develop white and amber panel prototypes, and gather feedback from staff at Highland Hospital. The intent is to avoid disturbing patients’ sleep, because the amber OLEDs output minimal levels of blue light.
