In tracking down some market information, I spotted an article published last week on OLEDNet that included a number of interesting charts that shows a big boost in OLED smartphones launched by Chinese brands in Q1 this year.
OLEDNet also published data on the boost in value of OLEDs used for smartphones in China (up 38.3% year on year in Q1 2021) and on the development of OLED material sales, which it counted at 13.8 tonnes in 2020.
What We Think
The chart of the smartphone releases was not very clear, so we re-created it. We got this from the OLEDNet website. We took a risk in accessing the site which generates security warnings in my browser. (BR)
