Nvidia and VMware Bring Workstations to Chromebooks

Google and VMware are working with Nvidia to bring workstation-level graphics to Chromebooks. VMware’s Blast software and Nvidia’s Grid (Display Monitor Vol 20 No 3) virtual GPU technology will be used to deliver a virtual Windows desktop, GPU and data centre to the products. It is unclear yet with Chromebook(s) will be the first to benefit, although speculation points to the new Acer model.
