Nintendo is developing a new games console known as the Nintendo NX, which appears to be set to challenge the offerings from Sony and Microsoft in a way that the Wii could not. A leak, purporting to be from an internal survey in the company, points to UltraHD video streaming at 60fps being supported by the device. In addition, localised rendering of gaming graphics at 1600 x 900 and 60fps is mentioned. A handheld unit is also referenced – although whether this would be a standalone device or used in a similar way to the Wii U controller is, of course, unknown.
