The Silicon Angle blog has highlighted the rumours about new smartphones at CES. As well as the four LG phones we reported on (LG Boosts Volume Phone Offerings) and the TCK Blackberry (Blackberry Confirms TCL (Alcatel) Deal). The site said that Samsung will have three phones, including the Galaxy A3 with 4.7″ HD display, the Galaxy A5 with a 5.2″ Super AMOLED FullHD display and the Galaxy A7 with FullHD Super AMOLED display.
Huawei may announce a successor to the P9 and the Honor sub-brand has a launch on the 3rd of Jan and that may be for a phone with an edge to edge display.
Asus has an event scheduled for the 4th Jan and has a Qualcomm Snapdragon logo on the invitation, which suggests a mobile phone release. There’s a teaser video below.
Sony is expected to launch 5.2″ and 5.5″ (UltraHD) phones at its press event on the 4th.
Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi Mi S which is rumoured to have a 4.6″ FullHD display and 2.5G glass shield. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, Adreno 530 graphics engine, 4GB of RAM, 128GB internal storage and a 2,600mAh battery.
