Acer Computer was up to NT$23.61 billion ($782 million) in November, a 5.13% increase on October and a boost of 3.89% from the same month last year, although the company is down 11.67% for the year so far at $232.73 ($7.75 billion).
Asustek Computer had a weak month compared to last year, down 13.54% to NT$42.13billion ($1.4 billion), but up by 21.55% on last month. Year to date is NT$396.8 billion ($13.2 billion) 7.17% down from 2016.
Compal Electronics is having a good period with sales of NT$93.9 billion ($3.1 billion), up 8.95% for the month and 32.6% on an annual basis. For the year so far, sales value is up by 16.94% to NT$812.87 billion ($27.07 billion), a recovery from a weak 2016. Compal shipped 3.8 million PCs
Delta Electronics hit a new record high in revenues of NT$21.1 billion ($700 million) for the month, up 8.59% on October and 9.28% on the same period in 2016. For the year to date, sales are NT$202.78 billion ($6.75 billion), up 4.06%.
Foxconn Electronics reported sales of NT$569.6 billion ($18.85 billion), a new record and up 17.33% on the previous period and up 18.5% on the same month in 2016. Revenues declined in computing, but were up most in consumer electronics, ahead of growth in communication products. So far for the year, Foxconn is at NT$4.03 trillion ($134 billion) , which means growth of 3.3%
Gigabyte Technology reported strong revenues of NT$5.543 billion ($184.75 million), up 25.5% on last month and 21.14% on last year. For the year, Gigabyte was also up 11.74% to NT$54.323 ($1.81 billion).
Inventec had revenues of NT$45 billion ($1.5 billion) up 5.3% on the month and 19.66% on the year. Notebook sales hit 1.6 million. For the year, the company is up 8.46% to NT$423.06 billion ($14.1 billion)
MediaTek saw sales down at NT$20.7 billion ($691 million) in November, which was a 1.3% monthly drop, but an 11.8% drop from 2016. For the year to date, the company is down 13.61%. The company hopes for better sales with the launch of the Android Oreo low end smartphone OS which is supported by the MT6739, MT6737 and MT6580 SoCs. (Google Introduces Oreo – Android Lite)
Pegatron was down 26.82% on October at NT$121.83 billion ($4.06 billion), which was a drop of 3.19% last year. For the year so far, revenue was NT$1104.636 billion ($36.79 billion) up 2.83% on last year.
Quanta was down 5.7% in November to NT$94.7 billion ($3.13 billion), but that was up 2.34% on the year. For the year to date, the company was at NT$934.64 billion ($31.1 billion), a strong increase of 18.46% on the year. The company shipped 3.9 million notebooks.
Chip foundry, TSMC, had revenues of NT$93.1 billion ($3.1 billion) which was down 1.4% on October, but very slightly up, by 0.1% from last year.
Wistron was slightly down to NT$89.1 billion ($2.97 billion) , a drop of 0.74%, but up 20.23% from the same period a year ago. For the year to date the company is up 27.73% to NT$753.1 billion ($25.1 billion). The company shipped 1.6 million notebooks, 19,000 servers, and 1.2 million desktops. In displays, monitors hit half a million, with TVs at a quarter million.
