Raspberry Pi finally has some real competition in the single-board computer market, with the imminent arrival of Pine 64’s new media board system, Rock64, the makers claim.
At 85mm by 56mm, about the size of a credit card, the Rock64 is capable of running UltraHD video at 60 fps with HDR, features a Rockchip RK3328 Quad-Core ARM Cortex A53 64-Bit processor and support for up to 4GB 1600MHz LPDDR3 RAM.
It also incorporates two USB2.0 inputs and one USB3.0, a MicroSD card slot, an AV jack and an Ethernet port. It will support a variety of open-source operating systems including Android 7.1.
Rock64 is available for pre-order now, ready to ship on July 31st and retails from $24.95.
