Innolux is building the world’s first G8.6 fab in Taiwan. Equipment installation began in June, and production is scheduled to begin before the end of the year. Associate VP Hung Mao-sheng said that the fab will have a monthly capacity of 50,000 substrates. It will be used to produce 50″, 58″ and 100″ TV panels, as well as 45″ and 23.6″ panels in combined cutting.
