Netgem has launched a newly-designed television viewing experience for its users in the UK, combining content from providers including Freeview Play, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, Demand 5 and UKTV Play, alongside on-demand streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, Rakuten TV, Hayu, Hopster and Trace TV, amongst others.
The new Netgem TV service also incorporates support for Amazon Alexa, allowing users to access content via voice control. The service is available on the company’s SoundBox HD and NetBox HD devices — which both have UHD versions scheduled for release later this year.
The company also announced it is partnering with other manufacturers to bring Netgem TV to a wider range of devices, scheduled for release from the second half of 2018.
