The PT-RQ32K is a high-brightness 5k (5120 x 3200) projector, which Panasonic is showing off at Infocomm this week.
Developed for rental and staging, the unit reaches 27,000 centre lumens and a 240Hz refresh rate. It uses Panasonic’s pixel-shifting quad pixel drive technology to raise perceived resolution.
The light source is laser phosphor, and the projector can be stacked without using custom mounting frames.
Panasonic will release the PT-RQ32K in January 2017.
Also at Infocomm, Panasonic will show a video wall display with its thinnest-ever bezel. The 55″ TH-55VF1H has a pixel-to-pixel width of 1.8mm. It is a direct-LED (700 cd/m²) screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Panasonic has worked on image optimisation with the VF1H, with pre-calibrated display modes; a refine enhancer engine (that sharpens details after zooming in) and colour matching and frame synchronisation for video walls. The VF1H has been built for 24/7 operation. It is due to be released in late 2016.
See our Infocomm report later this month for more information on both products.
