NEC’s new Multisync E905 is a 90″ display for video conferencing, with an OPS slot to simplify installation. With a 24/7 scheduler built in, as well as commercial-grade thermostatic cooling capabilities, the unit can also be used in digital signage applications.
A three-year warranty is supplied for the display. It will also automatically detect inputs and has options for automatic start-up.
The E905 uses a UV²A panel with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 5,000:1 contrast ratio, 176° viewing angles and 4ms response time. Brightness from the direct-LED backlight is 280 cd/m² and the display has 10-bit colour (NEC claims > 1 billion colours). DisplayPort, HDMI (x2), DVI and VGA ports are featured, as well as RJ45 and RS232 supporting bi-directional control signals.
The display will be available in the US this month, for $9,399.
