NEC has trialled UltraHD terrestrial broadcasting with Chilevisión, a commercial TV station in Chile. Chilevisión used NEC’s HEVC encoder (VC-8150) in the trial, sending live UltraHD transmissions to the press and VIP rooms of the Vina del Mar music festival in February.
