NEC Display, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today a robust set of 4K, data analytics and kiosk solutions on display with its strategic partners at InfoComm16, the largest professional AV show in the world, June 8-10 in Las Vegas.
NEC Display will showcase industry solutions and applications across key vertical markets, such as education, retail, and transportation, to help attendees envision how the industry leader is transforming everyday experiences for a brighter world.
“NEC Display Solutions is committed to empowering its customers and partners to share, present, review, control and analyze information with the goal of fostering stronger relationships and better connections with key constituents,” said Richard Ventura, Vice President of Business Development and Solutions at NEC Display Solutions. “Our InfoComm16 presence underscores our strong partnerships and integrated solutions.”

Included in these solutions is a one-year subscription to 4K content, NEC Display’s Intel i5 powered OPS (Open Pluggable Specification) computer, and an NEC award winning UHD display. These solutions make it easier for organizations and channel partners to adopt UHD displays and showcase amazing 4K content. True Definition Network™ is an ever-growing marketplace of award-winning visual art, specifically optimized for integration with UHD/4K displays.
“The synergy between True Definition Network and NEC provides the perfect fusion of art and technology, delivering new-to-market design concepts and experiential visual solutions to discerning customers,” said Aaron W. NEC Display also will demonstrate the NEC Engage Powered by StratosMedia platform. This is a solution that delivers context-aware digital signage to the audience while also capturing analytics data which, in turn, is delivered via the cloud. Targeting the retail and transportation markets, this solution combines the NeoFace® Engage analytics solution from NEC, the Microsoft® Kinect® camera system, the Microsoft Kinect Ambient Intelligence Toolkit (KAIT) and StratosMedia Content Management Software (CMS). The powerful retail tool delivers real time digital signage content based on camera triggers, while at the same time delivers back-end analytics information on the ages, genders and dwell times of the audience.
“We have worked with NEC biometrics for many years, and Engage is a natural progression of the most accurate age and gender analysis platform in the market,” said Brian Hammett, President of StratosMedia. “StratosMedia, together with NEC and Microsoft, has created an intelligent platform that is comprehensive, accurate, fast, and delivers absolute real time system-wide tracking and analytics.”
Partnering with Peerless-AV and Alive Promo, NEC Display also will showcase a series of kiosk solutions, including NEC’s 42-inch and 46-inch V Series displays integrated with touch overlays, NECOPS computers powered by Intel, and a directory board software solution from Alive Promo. Coming in portrait and landscape orientations, these solutions will target the education, retail, transportation and hospitality markets.
“We’ve talked to a lot of customers across industry sectors about what they want in their kiosks, and flexible installation, ease of use and the chance to make great first impressions with customers were key benefits,” said Brian McClimans, Vice President of Global Business Development at Peerless-AV. “Our partnership with NEC Display has yielded several powerful solutions that address those needs.”
