I was just looking around for my last WBS article today, when in popped a PR statement from Grass Valley lamenting the cancellation of the NAB Show. We reported a couple of days ago on Sony pulling out and Canon and Panasonic
What We Think
When Japan Inc pulls out of a broadcasting show, it is bound to suffer. However, such a late cancellation will cause vibrations widely. Infocomm is still due next month and is less dependent on these companies, but it is due to be held in Florida where governor Ron DeSantis has made few friends among the cautious for his stance on Covid. I would say, I would now be surprised if Infocomm isn’t cancelled. (BR)
