Microsoft has joined the Movies Anywhere initiative. Once accounts are linked, users who own films bought from companies including Amazon, Apple, FandangoNow, Google and Vudu will be able to watch all of them from within the Movies & TV app on Windows 10 and other supported platforms, including Xbox, iOS, Android and certain streaming devices.
Content purchased from any and all supported retailers can also be accessed via each of their individual libraries, plus the dedicated Movies Anywhere app. The initiative was launched in October of last year and, so far, remains exclusive to the US.
