Ahead of the launch of the Xbox One X on November 7th, Microsoft has released a comprehensive list of the games that will be available in either Ultra HD resolution, HDR10 High Dynamic Range, or both.
Some titles will run in native UHD resolution, while others will be upscaled from a lower resolution. The last Microsoft console, the Xbox One S, upscaled games from 1080p to 2160p and was also able to output in HDR, but didn’t run games in native Ultra HD. Some developers are using the Xbox One X’s record 6 teraflops of power to improve their games in other ways, like boosting load times, texture mapping or frame rate.
48 games will be available in some form of 2160p resolution, either natively or via checkerboarding or dynamic resolution. 40 titles will also be available in HDR, with some games overlapping across both lists. Games available in Ultra HD and HDR include Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War 4, Forza Motorsport 7 and the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed: Origins.
The full list of Xbox One X Enhanced games is available on the Xbox website.
