MediaTek announced its financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2017. The fourth-quarter revenue was NT$ 60.403 billion ($2.07 billion), down 12% year-over-year. The company said its year-over-year decrease was mainly due to lower smartphone shipments. Net Income for the quarter was NT$ 10.160 billion ($346.35 million), up 97.7% year-over-year. Annual revenue totaled NT$ 238.22 billion ($8.16 billion), down 13.5% and net income was NT$ 24.07 billion ($824.9 million), up 0.2% compared to 2016.
