Mediatek Chooses Kopin for Reference Design

Mediatek has developed a reference design for a pair of wearable smartglasses. Some features are similar to those in Google Glass, although the hardware is based on Mediatek’s MT2502 SoC and a microdisplay from Kopin – mounted on a telescopic rod – rather than the LCoS unit that Google was using. The Linkit platform enables pairing with a smartphone.
