The OnePlus 2 smartphone (OnePlus Plans Second Exclusive Handset) has been launched. However, in keeping with the company’s theme of exclusivity (and to garner more attention), potential customers must register online before being “invited” to buy the phone. The OnePlus 2 has a 5.5″ display (1920 x 1080), an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB (16GB model) or 4GB (64GB model) of RAM. Invitees will be able to purchase it for £200 ($310).

Portrait Displays is providing its Chroma Tune colour-control software for MSI‘s newest Prestige notebooks, as well as its Gaming and Workstation series models. Chroma Tune is being used in conjunction with MSI’s True Color Technology, to accurately control display colours and enable preset modes for different usage scenarios. (We expect some more big names, soon – watch this space – Man. Ed.)

The Galaxy Tab S2 (New Samsung Tab S2 is Very Thin), Samsung‘s newest AMOLED tablet, is now being shipped. The 8″ model can be pre-ordered for $400 and the 9.7″ for $500 (WiFi-only, 32GB prices).

In more Samsung news, we hear that the company has launched a low-cost smartphone with an AMOLED display in India. The Galaxy J1 Ace features a 4.3″ display, 800 x 480 resolution and Android 4.4. running on a dual-core 1.3GHz processor. It costs INR5,600 ($85).
