A new version of the Blackberry Passport smartphone (Blackberry Passport Veers From ‘Traditional’ Design) has been released in the USA. The Passport Silver Edition has a more rounded design and a silver colour, rather than the original’s all-black colouring. Other specifications are the same. The smartphone will be launched in Europe in the coming weeks, were it will cost £360 ($560).
Huawei has announced a new smartphone in China, called the Honor 4A. There will be three versions: one 3G (CNY570 ($90)) and two 4G (CNY665 ($110)). The phone features a 5″ display (1280 x 720), Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor (1.1GHz), 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It runs Android 5.1.
Huawei’s newest flagship, the Honor 7 (MDM Product Roundup – Vol 22 No 28), is also now available worldwide, for $420.
ZTE has announced three new products, which we understand are only to be launched in China. The Axon Lux smartphone has a 5.5″ display and three biometric security options: a fingerprint scanner, voice recognition and eye scanner. The Axon Mini has a 5.2″ OLED display with Force Touch, which can sense the pressure of a touch. Finally, ZTE announced the Axon Watch, with the Tencent OS. It will have a 1.4″ OLED display (400 x 400) and a 300mAh battery.
