A very thin smartphone has been launched in China. The Coolpad IVVI is 4.9mm thick and uses a 5″ AMOLED display (1920 x 1080). Running Android 4.4.4 on a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor, the phone has 2GB of RAM and a 1,900mAh battery. It is on sale now for CNY1,900 ($305).
Samsung is now offering end users a TV and smartphone bundle offer in Germany. Customers purchasing one of the company’s SUHD TVs (JS9590, JS9090 or JS8590 in 48″ – 88″ sizes) will receive a Galaxy S5 smartphone, as well. The offer runs until 4th July.
Sony has made a slight change to its Xperia Z4 (Japan)/Z3+ (worldwide) (Sony’s Z4 in Low-Key Launch), launching the Z4V in the USA. Available exclusively through Verizon, the phone has 2560 x 1440 resolution, rather than the 1920 x 1080 of the original handset. It is also 2mm thicker, at 8.6mm – probably due to the larger 3,00mAh battery and support for wireless (Qi) charging. Sony will launch the phone this summer.
The Vector smartwatch (Vector Claims Month-Long Battery) will be launched in September. The square-faced Vector Meridian will cost £140 ($220) and the round Lunar will cost £250 ($390).
