German trade association Zvei says that orders by the German electrical industry rose 19.9% YoY in March. The small declines of January and February have been “more than compensated for”, he said, with the end result of a 6% YoY rise in Q1. Revenues grew 4%, to €42.7 billion.
Domestic orders were up 22.1% and foreign orders by 14%. Orders from the Eurozone were up 13.2%.
Although the business climate in the German electrical industry has been observed to become tighter in April, expectations are positive for the coming six months.
