Aixtron and Manz signed a strategic cooperation agreement early last year (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 2), to develop a G8 system based on Aixtron’s OVPD technology. However, in a recent press release Manz CFO Martin Hipp commented that he doesn’t expect any mass-production breakthroughs for OLEDs in the next two years (presumably referring to large-size OLEDs, as small screens are already being mass-produced).
