iFixit tore down the new MacBooks based on the in-house M1 processor and found the design is very similar to previous models (especially the Pro), with the main change being in the cooling on the MacBook Air, which eliminates the fan. The Air uses heat conduction to dissipate heat.
What We Think
So the processor is disruptive and a common security and other function chip has moved into the processor, but not much else has changed. Is notebook design getting to the point where there is almost no scope for change? I doubt it 🙂 (BR)
