LGD Will Boost OLED TV Module Capacity

The Korea Herald has reported that LG Display will make a significant investment of around $1.1 billion over the next four years, in several phases, to expand its production capacity for OLED TV modules in Vietnam. The factory is in an industrial park in Hai Phong, located about 90 kilometers southeast of Hanoi and was chosen because of good sea and land transport links. The workforce at the plant will grow from 5,000 now to around 20,000.

The LG group has other factories in Hai Phong – LG Chem has a polarizer plant and LG Electronics makes white goods.
