LG Prepares Note Rival

A Galaxy Note rival has been released by LG – but only for the Korean market, at present. A worldwide release is planned later in the year, but specific markets have not been announced.

The LG G Stylo phablet is a 5.7″ handset with an IPS panel (1280 x 720 resolution) and in-cell touch. It is a larger successor to the LG G3 Stylus (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 31).

The phablet is bundled with a stylus, and is meant to be affordable – as the resolution suggests. The Stylo runs Android 5.0 on a quad-core Snapdragon 410, with 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and a 3,000mAh battery. It supports micro-SD cards up to 2TB (which no-one is manufacturing at present – but least the Stylo is future-proof!).

LG is selling the Stylo in Korea now, for KRW363,600 ($335) ex VAT.
