LG has launched the LG Signature OLED M (model 97M3), the world’s first wireless OLED TV. The large 97-inch ultra-large premium TV has 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The killer feature of the 97M3 is the zero connect box (ZCB), a wireless solution developed by LG. Users can connect their TVs to various devices, including gaming consoles and set-top boxes, wirelessly with the ZCB handling the audio and video streaming traffic. The ZCB supports HDMI 2.1, USB, RF, LAN, and Bluetooth. LG claims its wireless audio-visual technology is up to three times the speed of the existing Wi-Fi 6E standard and additionally supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. With no wires, the LG Signature OLED M is a sleek and ultra-modern flush-to-wall mounted design.
Currently available in South Korea for about $35,000, the LG Signature OLED M is set to make its global debut in key markets, including North America and Europe, later this year. LG plans to expand the line with 83- and 77-inch OLED evo M models equipped with the same ZCB boxes.
