LG said that its new G6 smartphone will have a 5.7″ 2880 x 1440 (which it calls QHD+ FullVision) with a 2:1 aspect ratio (described as 18:9) and the display will be driven by a new version of its interface, UX 6.0. Features of the new interface include:
- Differentiated experience for viewing content such as video clips and web surfing
- Improved camera UX that maximizes the extra real estate provided by the 18:9 format display
- Smartly designed GUI (Graphical User Interface) that enables the opening of two perfectly square windows side by side, delivering, LG claims, a more productive, better multitasking experience
There’s a very short teaser video below, but the phone will be launched at MWC in Barcelona later this month.
