Vincent Teoh of HDTVTest compared the LG G1 and C1 OLED TVs which are based on an Evo OLED panel from Guangzhou and a panel from Paju, respectively. Although he found that the Evo panel has more brightness, the difference is unlikely to be obvious to a viewer, except side-by-side. The two panels have slightly different off-axis colour shifts. Both have accurate colour and good uniformity. As they share the same processor, video processing is similar, although the G1 is better for gaming.
What We Think
Unless you’re a keen gamer or want to wall mount the TVs, Teoh doesn’t think that it’s worth buyers trading up to the G1, which is around 20% more expensive. (BR)
