LG’s PA1000T (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 36) is a bright DLP projector, with an LED light source and DVB-T tuner. As well as TV programming, users can share content via WiDi and MHL. A media player with Office viewer is also integrated and the projector supports 3D.
Portability is a focus of the PA10000T. The projector measures 230 x 170 x 140mm and weighs 1.2kg. Because it uses a solid-state light source (30,000-hour lifetime), an image is available quickly after the product is turned on and 360 deg projection is supported. Brightness is 1,000 lumens.
A 20″ – 100″ image can be thrown from 1m – 1.2m (1.4:1 throw ratio). Resolution is 1280 x 800, with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 8-bit colour and (apparently) 110% NTSC coverage. +/-15 deg keystone correction is built in. MHL-HDMI, VGA and USB ports are featured.
