LG Display reported 2017 fourth quarter results. Revenue was KRW 7,126 billion ($6.64 billion), a 10% decrease from KRW 7,936 billion reported in the fourth quarter of 2016. Net income in the fourth quarter was KRW 44 billion ($41 million), a decrease of 95% from KRW 825 billion reported in the fourth quarter of 2016. Company said it achieved a record-high annual operating profit of KRW 2.5 trillion despite the intensified global competition and continued decline in panel prices.
For the full year revenue was KRW 27,790 billion ($25.88 billion) compared to KRW 26,504 billion in 2016 and net income was KRW 932 billion($868 million) compared to KRW 825 billion in 2016.
TV panels were 40% of revenues in the quarter, mobile devices for 28%, tablets and notebook PCs for 18% and desktop monitors for 14%.
