LG Confirms 27″ OLED Monitor Details

What They Say

We reported a Korean press article suggesting that LG would extend the range of its OLED monitors down to 27″ and now the firm has released details (LG Display to Extend WOLED Panels Down in Size). The 26.9″ monitor is called the 27EQ850 and has UltraHD resolution with 1 ms response time (grey to grey), 10-bit colour depth, 99% Adobe RGB and 99% of DCI-P3. Colour depth is quoted at 10 bits.

Output is 200 cd/m² (typical) and 180 cd/m² (min) and the monitor has a USB 3.0 hub and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 90 watt power supply as well as a KVM function.

It costs $1,999.99 and is available in the US now.

What We Think

The previous report said that the monitor would use a WOLED panel from LG Display rather than the JOLED RGB OLEDs used in other OLED monitors, but we had not been able to confirm that when we published.  (BR)
