LG Bringing Micro LED TV Even Bigger Than “The Wall” to IFA 2018?

LG is believed to be bringing its first microLED TV, reported to be “the world’s largest”, to IFA 2018, which takes place in Berlin, Germany between August 31st and September 5th.

According to The Korea Herald, the screen is said to be 175″ in size, beating Samsung’s own micro LED TV, “The Wall”, by almost 30 inches. It is also believed to be thinner than Samsung’s offering. LG has so far declined to comment on reports that the TV will be making an appearance at IFA, but a spokesperson did say, “It is true that the company has been conducting R&D projects for microLED TV technology”.

The report goes on to say that Samsung plans to release its first microLED TV for consumers, “The Wall Luxury”, in 2019, while LG is holding off until production costs can be reduced.

Samsung’s 146″ micro LED TV was unveiled at CES 2018 in January.
