What They Say
Prad.de reported that the LG 16:18 display with 2560 x 2880 resolution has been given a specification and model number in a monitor from LG Electronics. However, the delivery date and pricing have not yet been released.
Features include 90W charging via USB-C and there is an ambient light sensor. According to the data sheet, the power consumption of the 27.6-inch device is 30 watts (SDR) or 41 watts ( HDR ), which places it in the EU energy efficiency class G (of G).
What We Think
This concept was shown by LG Display at CES in 2021 and then by LGE at CES in 2022. In general, I don’t see this as a generally positive move (The Shape of (Monitor) Things to Come (Part 1)). However, there will be situations and circumstances where the display makes real sense. (BR)
