Lenovo Adds Thunderbolt Monitors, ThinkPads and Dock

Lenovo will start to roll out peripherals to make the most of USB Type C at CES. There are two new monitors, the P24h (23.8″) and P27h (27″), which have 2560 x 1440 resolution and IPS panels with 6ms response time and 99% of sRGB and which will cost $259 and $329 when they ship in March. Both monitors feature single cable USB Type-C connections to the PC.

New notebooks will be at CES based on 7th Gen Intel processors and with USB Type-C/Thunderbolt 3 support. New models include the ThinkPad X270, starting from $909 in March, the Yoga 370, a 13.3″ FullHD multimode device (including pen), starting from $1264 in March and the Thinkpad 13 for FullHD 13.3″ touch with faster PCIe NVMe SSD options. It will cost from $674 from January.

Moving up, the new T series will use the higher powered versions of Intel’s chips and there are T470S and T470 upgrades. The T570 will have an UltraHD IPS display as an option, while the T470P will be a portable workstation.

The L Series is for ‘mainstream value’, with 14″ and 15″ versions available in March from $779 and $809 respectively.

Lenovo has released new USB Type-C peripherals and Thunderbolt 3 Dock. Features of the dock include:

  • 2 DisplayPort ports
  • HDMI
  • VGA
  • 5 USB 3.0 ports
