Toms Hardware reviewed the Lenovo Legion 5 notebook and described its 16″ 2560 x 1600 (16:10) 165Hz IPS display as ‘beautiful’ while giving the set its ‘Editor’s Choice’ award. Peak brightness was 472 cd/m² and colour coverage is 87.3% of DCI-P3. Viewing angle performance was picked out as very good.
The GPU is an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 8GB GDDR6 with 140W TGP, 1,560 Mhz boost clock. Connections include dual USB Type-C and four USB 3.2 Type A ports as well as an HDMI2.1 and an RJ45 jack. The unit is supplied with a 300W PSU.
What We Think
It’s good to see some recognition of a good display on a gaming notebook. The large power supply highlights the comments from a few weeks ago about the high power needs of gaming notebooks. (BR)
