Reviewers at Tom’s Hardware have been disappointed by the range of different quality keyboard and display components that are seen on the Lenovo Carbon X1 notebook. The reviewer tried an early version, supplied by Lenovo, but was then very disappointed when a couple of units were purchased. The displays varied in performance and there is a detailed table of performance in the article. The site said that Lenovo uses eight different panels in the X1 with FullHD displays from LG and AUO.

I nearly signed up for one of these laptops a few weeks ago. However, I managed to revive my current one. but this article has made me nervous. I did fancy the Dolby Vision high brightness display, but I note from the article that it is a gloss one, which would probably drive me crazy! (BR)
