Leia has announced the appointment of Fabio Esposito as its new CEO. Esposito is known for his expertise in scaling tech companies, especially in the extended reality (XR) and AI sectors.
The appointment follows a significant year for Leia, which saw the acquisition of Dimenco and Royal Philips IP’s 3D patent portfolio, the formation of numerous strategic partnerships with key OEMs, and Hassane El-Khoury’s appointment as board chair. Leia co-founder David Fattal will transition to the role of CTO, where he will be focusing on Leia’s 2D-to-3D switchable display solutions, software development kit (SDK), and AI cloud services.
Previously, Esposito served as CEO of Luxexcel, which became part of Meta Platforms. His leadership at Luxexcel included a strategic shift towards smart eyewear and a significant role in operations and integration at Meta Reality Labs, contributing to next-generation AR/VR devices. Before Luxexcel, he was the CEO of Solidscape.
