Epson in the US has launched the PowerLite 685W projector which has been optimised to work with the Smart Board M685 and 885 interactive whiteboards. The 3LCD UST projector with 1280 x 800 resolution and 3,500 lumens of output was first announced in January, but will start shipping in October.

Peerless has a new VCM580 stand for Video Conferencing that has features including flexible display positioning, height adjustable camera shelf, discreet cable management, concealed hardware storage and a matte silver finish that Peerless intends to be compatible with any workplace decor. Displays from 55″ to 80″ with a maximum weight of 152kg. Display height can be set anywhere along the columns and camera shelf height can also be adjusted for extra flexibility when mounting larger displays. Vertical micro-adjustment allows post-installation leveling and display alignment. The bases can be secured to the floor and there are two 2RU rack storage units, which can be pulled down for service access to media players and other hardware devices.
Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America has introduced the the PN-V701 LCD display that we reported on from ISE (Impact of Foxconn Acquisiton Shows at Sharp). Features include 4.4mm bezels and 24/7 operation and can be used in vertical or portrait orientation.
There is an Inverse Scan function that alternates the scanning direction between vertically adjacent monitors to create smooth, natural images on the large video wall. It supports the Advanced Uniform Color Calibration Technology (UCCT) for calibration and there is an optional HDBaseT Receiver Board. The monitor will ship from October.
