As was rumoured last month (LDM Product Roundup – Vol 23 No 03), LG has announced that its flagship G6 OLED TV will cost $8,000. The company has started to take pre-orders for the set.
Samsung has started a very limited release for its UltraHD Blu-ray player, the UBD-K8500 (Samsung Uses LED in Modular TV Concept). It is on sale exclusively at the Video & Audio Center in Santa Monica, CA. We also hear that Best Buy has announced some early deliveries of the unit to people who pre-ordered it. The player will be available on the mass market in March.
