LDM Product Roundup – Vol 23 No 03

We missed Asus‘ announcement of new UltraHD gaming monitors at CES. Two models were previewed: the 24″ MG24UQ (IPS) and 28″ MG28UQ (1ms response time). Both support VESA’s Adaptive Sync technology. They also feature DisplayPort, HDMI (2.0 and 1.4) and USB 3.0 ports. We expect more information to be released in the coming months.

We have been told that the Christie HS Series projectors (Christie Teases ISE Models) will be able to throw a 50″ – 500″ image – the same as the existing H Series.

We heard just after CES that LG‘s 65″ E6 OLED TV had appeared on Amazon for $7,000 (LG’s Signature is Pure and Gimmick-Free). Now, HD Guru says that the pre-launch programme for the G6 TV will begin after this year’s Superbowl on the 7th February. The TV will start to ship in late March, and will cost $8,000 for the 65″ unit.

The Microsoft Surface Book will be launched in Germany on the 18th February.

Richer Sounds in the UK is holding another TV sale. The company is offering a 40″ UltraHD set from Hisense for £240 ($340), down from £320 ($455), and a Samsung 55″ Full HD model (UE55H6400) for £520 ($740), down from £600 ($855).
