75″ and 85″ TVs have been added to Loewe‘s Reference series (Three Tuners in Loewe’s Premium Reference Series). These are the company’s first large-format UltraHD models. They use direct-LED backlights, and feature an HEVC decoder and HDMI ports that can transport UltraHD content at 60fps. They are being sold now for €9,315 (72″) and €16,200 (85″). We missed this news in the pre-IFA rush at the end of August – our apologies!
At Cedia 2015, Mirage Vision was showing LG‘s EG9600 curved OLED TV, retrofitted with weather-proofing. The company says that it was the only one at CEDIA with an UltraHD OLED outdoor set. Pricing is on application. Watch a video at http://tinyurl.com/q3plkrf.
