Digitimes reported data from Sigmaintell Consulting on its forecast for panel prices. It expects small/medium panels to remain flat. TV panels up to 55″ are likely to be flat at 32″ ($88), 34″ ($136), 50″ ($202) and 55″ ($226) in July. Bigger panels of 65″ and 75″ are likely to rise by $4.
Modules for monitors will be up, with 21.5″ rising $2 to $68, 23.8″ IPS up $2.50 to $74.50 and 27″ IPS modules up $2 to $90.9
Demand for Chromebooks is said to be weakening and 11.6″ HD TN modules will be flat, while 14″ HD modules will edge up $1 to $42.30. Mainstream notebook IPS modules will rise by $1.50 the firm expects.
