Sigmaintell put out its Large Panel pricing trend report for March with its forecast for April, where it still sees across the board increases. The Chinese market is not optimistic about demand, but overseas markets are still strong and brands are replenishing inventories. IC shortages continue.
The firm said that consumer demand for monitors is continuing, although commercial demand has stabilised. Panel makers are adjusting to SDC’s reduction in IT panel supply.
Notebooks continue to be in demand and in tight supply. Chromebook demand means that TN panels are in short supply.
