Kyocera Corporation announced Q2 net profits of ¥26.4 billion ($233 million), up 41% from ¥18.7 billion ($165 million) a year ago, on sales which rose 18% to ¥393.2 billion ($3.5 billion) from ¥333.3 billion ($2.9 billion). For the first six months there were profits of ¥61.4 billion ($541 million), a jump of 70% from ¥36.2 billion ($319 million), on revenue of ¥738.3 billion ($6.5 billion), up 135 from ¥653.2 billion ($5.8 billion). The company cited a robust market for the increase.
