Dutch operator KPN is working with SMiT, a manufacturer of conditional access modules (CAMs), to launch an IPTV service that does not require a set-top box. A product pilot will begin next year, using the CI+ 1.4 standard (shown at IBC this year, in Display Monitor Vol 21 No 38). It will enable KPN to deliver its services directly to certain Smart TV sets
