Kat VR Simulates Virtual Reality at Home

An omni-directional ‘treadmill’, designed for use with VR headsets and similar, has hit its Kickstarter target of $100,000. The Kat Walk provides a user with 360° of continuous movement while sitting in a hanging ‘chair’ above the surface. Special over-shoes are used on the surface to simulate walking. The campaign, which has now concluded, can be found at http://tinyurl.com/njtgo99. Estimated delivery is April 2016 and price (excluding early backer discounts) is $700.
