JVC is to unveil its first consumer D-ILA projector at IFA 2016. All that we know so far is that it will be a BLU-Escent model, with UltraHD (or DCI-4k) resolution and HDR.
BLU-Escent is a technology that JVC uses on its commercial projectors. It is a combination of a blue laser and yellow phosphor, with the separated RGB light fed through the D-ILA LCoS imaging panels.
Unlike JVC’s eShift models, the new projector will apparently feature a natively high resolution, rather than being upscaled.
